14.1 First aid allowance
A qualified employee appointed by the employer to act in the capacity of First Aid Attendant will receive an allowance at the rate of $16.36 per week. This allowance will not be taken into account when calculating any payments that are made in addition to the employee’s wage rate.
14.2 Shift allowances
Employees engaged on shift work, as defined, shall in addition to their weekly wage, receive for the ordinary hours of shift the following percentages of their wage rate:

14.3 Rate when shifts extend beyond midnight
Notwithstanding anything contained herein, each shift will be paid at the rate applicable to the day on which the major portion of the shift is worked.
14.4 Licences
14.4.1 Where an employee, in the course of duties, is required by law to obtain a special licence to operate special equipment, the licence fee will be reimbursed by the employer.
14.4.2 Where an employee, who does not hold a driving licence to drive a motor vehicle on a public highway, is required to hold a licence for the performance of work, the employer will reimburse the employee the cost of the licence fee.
14.5 District and location allowances
14.5.1 An employee will be paid the appropriate district or location allowances gazetted by the Queensland or Western Australian Industrial Commissions at the date of operation of this award.
14.5.2 Such allowances will be varied to give effect to any new standard adopted by either the Queensland or Western Australian Industrial Commissions.
