6.1 Teachers may be employed full-time or part-time on either an ongoing, fixed term or casual basis.
6.2 A teacher employed full-time is employed to work 76 hours a fortnight.

6.3 A teacher and their employer shall consult regarding the ordinary hours of attendance, including any arrangements regarding other duties and attendance at school meetings and meetings with parents.
6.3.1 Unless otherwise agreed under 6.3:
6.3.1(a) a teacher shall be in attendance for a minimum of seven hours daily commencing no less than ten minutes before the morning pupil instructional session;
6.3.1(b) in addition to 6.3.1(a) a teacher may be required to:
6.3.1(b)(i) attend a scheduled staff meeting of up to one hour per week, adjacent to the normal school day and no further meetings shall take place adjacent to this staff meeting; and
6.3.1(b)(ii) carry out other duties including attendance at school meetings and meetings with parents of up to two hours per week adjacent to the normal school day subject to prior consultation and mutual agreement as to the time, date and type of duties to be undertaken.
6.4 A teacher employed part-time is employed to work an agreed number of regular hours less than 76 hours a fortnight.

6.4.1 The time fraction of a teacher employed part-time shall be fixed and constant over a normal fortnightly period.

6.4.2 A teacher employed part-time and their employer shall consult regarding the days and times of attendance, including any arrangements regarding attendance at parent/teacher meetings on days other than normal days of attendance.

6.4.3 Unless otherwise agreed under 6.4.3:
6.4.3(a) a teacher who works 0.4 to 0.6 time fraction cannot be required to attend for duty on more than three days per week;
6.4.3(b) a teacher who works 0.7 to 0.8 time fraction cannot be required to attend for duty on more than four days per week.
6.5 A teacher shall be entitled to a luncheon period of not less than 30 minutes free from assigned duties.
6.6 With the exception of a teacher employed on a casual basis, all provisions of this award, other than reimbursement of expenses, shall apply on a pro rata basis to teachers employed part-time.
