3.1 Qualified first-aid attendant shall mean an employee who is a qualified first-aid attendant and is employed to carry out the duties of a first-aid attendant.
3.2 Rostered day off means the day off arising from the working of ordinary hours in a nineteen day/four week cycle.
3.3 Long day means a day on which ordinary hours exceed nine hours but shall not exceed eleven hours.
3.4 Continuous service includes all service with the employer from the date of engagement, but does not include in any anniversary year of accrual:
3.5 Retail Food Employee Grade 1 means an employee (other than in NSW) engaged in any one or more than one of the receipt of orders for or the preparation (including cooking), sale, serving or delivery of food and beverages but does not include a tradesperson employed as such.
3.6 Retail Food Employee Grade 2 means an employee (other than in NSW) who has the major responsibility on a day to day basis for supervising Retail Food Employee Grade 1 and/or for training new employees or an employee required to exercise trade skills.
3.7 Retail Food Employee Grade 3 means an employee (other than in NSW) appointed by the employer to be in charge of a shop, food outlet, delivery outlet, commissary, call centre.
3.8 Union means the Shop, Distributive and Allied Employees’ Association.
