28. SATURDAY WORK

28.1 An employee required to work within the hours of 7.00 a.m. and 6.00 p.m. on a Saturday as part of ordinary hours, must be paid ordinary time plus the additional amount prescribed for each hour worked:

28.2 Where applicable in accordance with the provisions of this clause:

28.2.1 A full-time or part-time employee is entitled to a minimum payment of the additional amount referred to in 28.1 as for three hours.

28.2.2 A casual employee is entitled to a minimum payment of the rate referred to in 28.1 as for two hours.

28.2.3 Note: A casual receiving an additional amount for Saturday work does NOT also receive the applicable casual loading.

28.3 Apprentices, juniors, hairdressing trainees and hairdressing graduates must receive the rate referred to in 28.1 according to their relevant percentage of the qualified or adult rate.
