13.1 Except as otherwise provided the ordinary hours of duty shall be an average of 37.5 per week for those recognised as “indoor” employees and worked between 7.00am and 6.00pm and an average of 38 per week for those recognised as “outdoor” employees and worked between 6.00am and 6.00pm on Monday to Friday (both inclusive) with a break of not less than half an hour, nor more than one hour, for lunch between 11.00am and 2.00pm.
13.2 The hours of duty for supervisors with outside employees under their immediate supervision, may be the same ordinary hours as the employees supervised.
13.3 The following maximum number of hours in any four consecutive weeks may not be exceeded:
13.3.1 152 hours for classifications prescribed as outdoor work;
13.3.2 150 hours for classifications prescribed as for indoor work.
13.4 By mutual agreement, employees may accrue up to a maximum of five rostered days off, which may be added to annual leave, or taken within a period of three months.
13.5 Employees shall be entitled to be paid for at least a full period of duty for any day on which they are on duty and ready, willing and available for work and for at least an average of their ordinary hours of duty per week as per the hours set down in the work cycle.
13.6 The hours of duty of each of the following employees, namely, museum attendants, pool attendants, caretakers, pump attendants, shall be such hours as may be fixed by mutual agreement between the employer and a majority of employees concerned provided however that the hours so agreed upon shall not exceed on average 38 per week over a particular work cycle.
13.7 The hours of duty of street sweepers, mechanical street sweeper operators, mall cleaners, hall cleaners and car park sweepers shall be those hours as may be fixed by mutual agreement by the employer and a majority of employees concerned.
13.8 The normal starting and finishing times of weekly employees under this award shall not be altered unless the employer gives seven days clear notice. Where circumstances affect the provision of adequate notice the hours may be changed by mutual agreement between the employer and a majority of employees concerned.
