26. COLD WORK DISABILITY ALLOWANCE

26.1 Employees principally employed on any day to enter cold chambers and/or to stock and refill refrigerated storages such as dairy cases or freezer cabinets shall be paid an allowance per hour or part thereof whilst so employed. This allowance is $0.17 per hour at or above 0 oC, or $0.37 per hour below 0 oC.

26.2 An employee required to work in a cold chamber where the temperature is less than 0oC shall be paid an allowance of $0.37 per hour. (An aggregate of twenty minutes in the hour shall be regarded as one hour’s work.)
