25. DISTRICT ALLOWANCE

25.1 This clause shall only apply to those employees receiving the district allowance prior to the operation of this award. In addition to the wage rates set out in clause 19 - Wages of this award the following district allowance shall be paid:

• Adults - $17.19- North of the 20th parallel of South Latitude;
• Adults - $9.63- South of the 20th parallel of South Latitude.

25.2 Provided that junior employees shall receive payment of a district allowance in the same proportion as their wages are expressed on the wage scales respectively as set out in clause 19 - Wages, of this award.

25.3 Part-time and casual employees shall receive a district allowance on a pro rata basis. Such basis shall be divided by 38 and multiplied by the ordinary weekly hours for which the part-time or casual employee is employed.

25.4 The district allowance shall be used in the calculation of all payments in this award except overtime payments.
