13. WAGE RATES
13.1 Full-time employees
13.1.1 Full-time employees will be paid the rates set out below:

13.1.2 Arbitrated safety net adjustment
13.1.2 The rates of pay in this award include the arbitrated safety net adjustment payable under the Safety Net Review—Wages June 2005 decision [PR002005]. This arbitrated safety net adjustment may be offset against any equivalent amount in rates of pay received by employees whose wages and conditions of employment are regulated by this award which are above the wage rates prescribed in the award. Such above-award payments include wages payable pursuant to certified agreements, currently operating enterprise flexibility agreements, Australian workplace agreements, award variations to give effect to enterprise agreements and overaward arrangements. Absorption which is contrary to the terms of an agreement is not required.
Increases made under previous National Wage Case principles or under the current Statement of Principles, excepting those resulting from enterprise agreements, are not to be used to offset arbitrated safety net adjustments.
13.2 Part-time employees
Part-time employees working ordinary time will be paid 1/38 of the weekly base wage in 13.1.1 per hour worked.
13.3 Casual employees
Casual employees working ordinary time will be paid 1/38 of the weekly base wage in 13.1.1 per hour worked, plus 22%.
13.4 Annualised salary
13.4.1 Employees, nominated by the Company, will receive an annualised rate, as set out below, paid monthly and being inclusive of annual leave loading and will be exempt from the provisions contained in clause 23 - Overtime, and the rostering provisions of clause 21 - Hours of work.

13.4.2 Formula for calculating annualised salary rates
The annual salary rates are arrived at by using the formula outlined below:
13.4.2(a) Multiply the relevant weekly base rate by 52 (weeks).
13.4.2(b) Multiply the time and a half overtime rate by five days then by 47 weeks.
13.4.2(c) Add 13.4.2(c) and 13.4.2(b) and round to the nearest $10.00.
13.5 Junior employees
13.5.1 The wage rates for a junior employee will be determined on the basis of the following age related percentages:

13.5.2 An employee appointed to an Administrative officer level 5 or above, will be paid the adult rate.
13.6 Work at a higher classification
Where an employee is required to actively perform the work of a higher classification for a period of one week or more, they will be paid at the stipulated award rate, pro-rated for each day in excess of one week.
