PART 5 - HOURS OF WORK 

23. HOURS

23.1 The ordinary hours of work for a full-time employee shall be 38 per week, with a minimum of six hours and a maximum of ten ordinary hours per day, to be worked over not more than five days of the week, within a daily spread of eleven hours. Each employee shall be entitled to two clear days off duty per week. The clear days shall be consecutive unless otherwise agreed between an employer and an employee.

23.2 Notwithstanding the provisions of 23.1 hereof, in cases where employees are rostered over a nineteen day, four week cycle, up to 40 ordinary hours may be worked in a week provided that the total number of ordinary hours in any four week cycle shall not exceed 152.

23.3 Each permanent employee shall be entitled to a minimum break of ten hours between the completion of work on one day and the commencement of work on the next day. For the purpose of this clause work includes any period(s) of overtime.
