28. LATE NIGHT AND SATURDAY WORK

28.1 All ordinary hours worked by weekly and part-time employees after 6.00 p.m. on Friday must be paid for at the rate of time and one quarter.

28.2 Weekly and part-time employees working their ordinary rostered hours on Saturday shall receive an additional amount added to their weekly wage rate as follows:

	$
For work performed before 12 noon	18.00
For work performed after 12 noon	21.70
For work which includes both Saturday morning and Saturday afternoon	39.70

However these additional amounts must be increased in the same proportion as the adult weekly rate is increased.

28.3 Junior employees will receive a proportion of the relevant additional amount for Saturday work, calculated by way of the percentage scale in 18.2 of this award.

28.4 The additional amounts for Saturday work will apply for all purposes of the award including sick leave, annual leave, compassionate leave and public holidays but will not be taken into consideration in calculating payment for overtime.
