19. DISTRICT ALLOWANCES

19.1 Queensland

Where an employee is required to perform work in an area of Queensland as prescribed herein, such employee shall be paid for such work an allowance in addition to the appropriate weekly wage rate prescribed in clause 15 - Wage rates as follows:

19.2 Northern Territory

19.2.1 Where an adult employee is required to perform work, in an area of the Northern Territory as prescribed herein, such employee shall be paid for such work an allowance in addition to the appropriate weekly wage rate prescribed in clause 15 of this award. These rates for district allowance were frozen by a Full Bench decision on 10 April 1984 [Print F4832]. The areas and respective allowances are as follows:

19.2.2 In addition to the wages prescribed in clause 16 - Juniors of this award, a junior employee shall be entitled to receive a district allowance in accordance with the following table:

19.2.3 The district allowance shall not be the subject of any penalty or premium addition.

19.3 Western Australia

In addition to the rates presented elsewhere in this award, employees when employed in Western Australia shall be paid a district allowance as prescribed by the Western Australian Industrial Commission as varied from time to time.
