The provisions of this clause apply to full-time employees and regular part-time employees on a pro-rata basis, but do not apply to casual employees. The entitlements of casual employees are set out at clause 12.6.
41A.1 An employee is entitled to use up to two days bereavement leave without loss of pay on each occasion.
41A.2 Where an employee has exhausted all bereavement leave entitlements, they will be entitled to two days unpaid bereavement leave.
41A.3 An employee will provide satisfactory evidence of the death of the employee’s husband/wife, father, mother, sister, brother, child, grandparent, grandchild, step-child, or parents-in-law. For the purpose of this clause the words wife and husband will include a de facto wife or husband, and the words father and mother will include foster father or mother.
41A.4 Unpaid bereavement leave
An employee may take unpaid bereavement leave by agreement with the employer.
