23. PAYMENT OF WAGES

23.1 Wages will be paid fortnightly and will be paid in arrears:

• according to the actual ordinary hours worked each week; or
• according to the average number of ordinary hours worked each week.

23.2 Method of payment

Wages must be paid by electronic funds transfer into the employee’s bank or approved credit union account.

23.3 Payment of wages on termination of employment

Employees whose engagement is terminated will be entitled to receive all wages due the same evening, provided that all property of Virgin Tech is duly returned. If the termination takes place after 5.00 p.m., or on a day when the offices of Virgin Tech are closed, the money due or will be forwarded to the employee on the following working day.

23.4 Pay day may be varied by Virgin Tech if seven days notice is given to the employee.
