If an employee is required to perform two or more classes of work in any day or shift, the employee must be paid for the whole day or shift at the rate of pay applicable for the higher class of work. If an employee is required to perform a lower class of work in any day or shift, the employee must be paid for the whole day or shift at the employee’s regular rate of pay.
