22.1 Except as otherwise provided in this award, if an employee is temporarily required to perform a higher class of work which attracts a higher rate of pay, the employee must be paid for the whole day or shift at the higher rate of pay.
22.2 If an employee is temporarily required to act in a position which attracts a lower rate of pay, the employee must be paid for the whole day or shift at the employee's ordinary rate of pay.
