23.1 An employee shall receive a paid rest break of ten minutes duration after working in excess of four hours.
23.2 An additional paid rest break of ten minutes duration shall be provided when an employee works in excess of eight hours.
23.3 Provided that in respect of the additional rest break as stipulated in clause 23.2, in New South Wales, the ACT and South Australia, where an employee is rostered so that two meal breaks are taken in accordance with clause 22 - Meal breaks, the employee shall not be entitled to the additional rest break as prescribed.
23.4 Should an employee work through a break as prescribed in this clause, the employee should be entitled to be paid overtime rates until released for such meal/rest break, as appropriate.
