22. MEAL BREAKS AND REST PAUSES

22.1 Each employee shall be allowed a 30 minute meal break provided no employee shall be required to commence a meal break earlier than three hours after normal starting time nor later than six hours after normal starting time, unless otherwise mutually agreed between the employee and the Employer.

22.2 For work done at the direction of the Employer during an employee’s meal break and thereafter until a meal break is allowed, time and one half rates shall be paid.

22.3 Each employee shall be entitled to a rest pause of ten minutes’ duration during the first half of each ordinary working shift. A rest pause shall be taken separately from the meal break and shall be taken at such a time and in such a way as not to interfere with the continuity of operations.
