The organisation consists of 52 branches - far more than any other organisation. Each branch is a reporting unit, however, every year the branches apply for certificates under s.271 of the RO Act (no financial affairs in a financial year). Once a s.271 certificate is granted a branch does not need to submit a financial report.
The organisation is divided into Divisions in each state, and further divided into Branches. The organisation, its Divisions and Branches are also divided into Sections.
The organisation is governed by a National Council and a National Executive and by State Divisions and Branches.
Elections across the organisation are conducted every 1, 2 and 4 years. These elections are conducted by the Austrlian Electoral Commission.
