Understand how to respond to a claim for general protections not involving dismissal.
What we send you
When a person names you in their general protections application, we will send you:
- a copy of their application (Form F8C), which details their claim
- a letter with a link to the Form F8A - Response to general protections application.
If both sides agree, a Commission Member will conduct a conference. You are not required to participate.
When you choose not to participate
You can tell us you do not agree to participate using the Form F8A.
When you participate
We will schedule a conference with a Commission Member. It is important for you to send us your response using Form F8A. Your response helps us to understand your version of events and to determine how we resolve the application.
