Annual Wage Review 2018–19 Junior rates in modern awards
A background paper prepared by the staff of the Fair Work Commission was previously issued.
A conference was conducted by Hampton C on behalf of the Panel on 15 May 2019. Transcript of this conference will be uploaded when available.
A Spreadsheet has now been provided by the ACTU to illustrate its “interim” proposal to adjust certain junior rates as discussed in the conference.
Interested parties wishing to comment on the spreadsheet or the ACTU proposal, beyond the submissions already made in the recent conference, should do so by making a written submission to awr@fwc.gov.au before 12:00 noon (AEST) Tuesday 20 May 2019. Any submissions received will be posted on the Commission’s website.
The parties involved with discussions concerning the junior rates in the Vehicle Manufacturing, Repair, Service and Retail Industry Award 2010 are also requested to advise of any updated position by 12:00 noon (AEST) Tuesday 20 May 2019.

Responses to the questions and submissions relating to data published after 12 April 2019 are due by Friday 5pm, 10 May 2019.
Responses to the additional and supplementary questions are due by Monday 5pm, 13 May 2019.
