We try to hear appeals within 3 months of the date an appeal is lodged with us. Most hearings take place in Melbourne and Sydney.

Please check the public holidays in your state or territory as we do not schedule appeals on those dates.
Hearings may take place in person, by phone, or by video link. The Commission Member who leads the Appeal Bench will tell you which option they will use.
If the hearing is listed to take place in person and you want a video link, you must ask us after we tell you the location and date. The Member decides whether to use a video link for the hearing.

We schedule these hearings over 2 days each month or more if needed.
