We set minimum standards for regulated workers and road transport contractual chains.
Minimum standards orders contain legally enforceable rights and obligations that regulated workers and regulated businesses must follow.
Regulated worker is defined at section 15G of the Fair Work Act 2009. Regulated business is defined at section 15F of the Fair Work Act 2009.
Minimum standards guidelines are standards for regulated workers and regulated businesses, but are not legally enforceable.
We can also make road transport contractual chain orders and guidelines for persons in a road transport contractual chain. Road transport contractual chain is defined at section 15RA of the Fair Work Act 2009.
Our Regulated worker and businesses hub provides an overview of our functions affecting regulated workers and regulated businesses.
The Road Transport Advisory Group (RTAG) provides advice to us on matters relating to the road transport industry. The RTAG page contains information about the group and provides access to documents it publishes, including meeting records and advice.
