General Retail Industry Award variation (AM2024/26 and AM2024/40)

Mr Anthony Hicks has applied to change the General Retail Industry Award 2020. The Shop, Distributive and Allied Employees Association (SDA) has also applied to change the General Retail Industry Award 2020 covering a similar issue.

Mr Hicks has applied under section 160 of the Fair Work Act 2009. He seeks to vary clause A.8.3(a) of the General Retail Industry Award 2020 to insert the words "or duty manager".

The SDA has applied undersection 158 of the Fair Work Act 2009. The SDA seeks to vary clauses A.6.2 and A.7.2 of the General Retail Industry Award 2020 to clarify the classification structure.

The Commission has decided to hear and determine AM2024/40 together with AM2024/26.
