Use this online form to make a submission about a minimum standards or road transport contractual chain case.
Anyone can use this form to make a submission. We want to hear from individuals, businesses and other interested parties.
We recommend you read about Regulated worker and contractual chain standards before you make a submission. You should also read about the case you are making a submission for. This will help you understand if the laws and case are relevant to you.
You will find all Regulated worker minimum standards cases on our website. On each case page you can read the:
- application
- statements
- decisions
- draft orders.
What is a submission?
A submission is how you tell us what you think about a case. We will usually ask for submissions at set times during a case. We may do this to find out what you think about an application we have received or a draft order we have published. Your submission might include:
- why you think a draft order or guidelines should or should not be made
- how the making of an order or guidelines might affect you
- what an order or guidelines should include.
Commission Members consider submissions and evidence when making decisions.
Plan your submission
You should plan your submission before you start. This will help you provide clear information. We suggest you:
- plan what you want to say
- organise your submission by topic and use headings
- only include relevant material
- emphasise the key points so they are clear
- explain why you think we should or should not do something.
If you refer to information in a different document, include a reference to where that information is in that document. For example, the clause, paragraph or page numbers. This makes your submission easier to understand.
What you need to complete this online form
You will need to have some details available to make a submission. This includes:
- your contact details
- details about the case you are making the submission about
- any document relevant to your submission.
We will publish your submission
These cases are public and the Fair Work Act 2009 requires us to publish certain submissions and related documents on our website. This will include your name so it is clear who has made the submission. We may include the details of your submission in decisions and other documents. Your submission may also be discussed in public hearings or consultations.
Tell us in the form if you want us to remove private or sensitive information before we publish. You must also provide a reason why. We may still publish your information even if you ask us not to.
We handle the information you provide in your submission and any related documents in line with our obligations under the Privacy Act 1988. You can find out more about these obligations in our Privacy policy.
