Deputy President Hampton, National Practice Lead for Bargaining, has issued a decision to finalise our first review of approved eligible protected action ballot agents.
Under the Secure Jobs, Better Pay Act changes, which took effect on 6 June 2023, we must review each approved eligible protected action ballot agent at least every 3 years to make sure they continue to meet the requirements for approval.
Eight agents due for review in 2026 were included in this process, which saw us welcome submissions from eligible protected action ballot agents and interested parties.
At the conclusion of the review, one agent’s approval has been cancelled and the remaining ballot agents that were reviewed have been confirmed.
