About the AMOU
Financial year: 1 July – 30 June

Date of registration: 15 May 1905. It is the oldest organisation registered under the Fair Work (Registered Organisations) Act 2009.
The organisation is divided into 3 areas:
- Eastern Area (New South Wales and Queensland)
- Southern Area (Victoria, South Australia and Tasmania), and
- Western Area (Western Australia and the Northern Territory).
The members of the organisation are further divided into divisions known as the Offshore and Port Services Divisions.
The organisation was issued with a consolidation certificate in 1994, and the National Office submits a single financial report for the entire organisation.
