URGENT CONSULTATION about proposed fuel cost recovery road transport contractual chain order.
Submissions due by 12 noon (AEST) on Friday 17 April 2026.
The Transport Workers' Union of Australia (TWU) and the Australian Road Transport Industrial Organization (ARTIO) have applied for a road transport contractual chain order. The proposed order would cover a number of sectors of the road transport industry and contain terms dealing with fuel cost recovery.
On 14 April 2026, we issued a notice of intent to make a Road Transport Contractual Chain Order. You can read the statement and draft order here:
We are now asking for submissions from workers, businesses, and other stakeholders about the draft order we propose to make. If we make the order, it would take effect on 20 April 2026.
Submissions are due by 12 noon (AEST) on Friday 17 April 2026.

A conference will take place before Vice President Asbury on Thursday 16 April 2026. See Notice of listing.
