In this episode we discuss proper decision making and good record keeping.
Proper decision making and good record keeping are equally important to ensure that registered organisations are transparent and accountable to their members. There are a number of records that registered organisations must keep under the Fair Work (Registered Organisations) Act 2009 (the RO Act). However, good governance practices may go beyond the requirements in the RO Act.
This is the first podcast in our ‘Good governance in practice’ series.
ROCpod was a monthly podcast created by the Registered Organisations Commission, which is now abolished. The obligations for registered organisations remain unchanged, with the functions transferred to the Fair Work Commission as the regulator from 6 March 2023. If you need further information please contact the Fair Work Commission on 1300 341 665 or email regorgs@fwc.gov.au.
