The General Manager and staff of the Fair Work Commission constitute a statutory agency. Staff are engaged under s.22 of the Public Service Act 1999.
Employment opportunities at the Commission are advertised through our online recruitment system, where you can view and apply for all available positions.

You can browse through the list of positions available, register for job alerts and apply for all Commission jobs online. All job applications for positions at the Commission must be submitted through the online application system before the advertised closing date.
To apply for a job you will need to:
1. sign-in using an email address and password. A confirmation number will then be emailed to you
2. once you have received this number you will need to sign-in again, and enter the confirmation number (the confirmation number only needs to be entered once)
3. when you have signed-in again you can apply for a position by clicking on the job, then clicking on the 'Apply' button under Vacancy details.

The selection criteria set out the personal qualities, skills, abilities, knowledge and qualifications (if any) you will need to perform the role effectively. During the online application process you will be asked to provide a statement against each one.
Your statement should explain how you have demonstrated the particular skill or quality. Provide relevant examples, be clear and stick to the point. We recommend a maximum of 500 words for each criterion. As a guide, 200 to 400 words for each criterion should be enough.

We recommend you proof-read your answers carefully before copying and pasting your responses into the online application system.
We prefer applications to be lodged online, however it may be possible to arrange another way to lodge your application if you can’t access the online system.
